BIOGRAPHY
Riya Bansal was born in India and holds a Bachelor's degree in Journalism and Mass Communication. Her journey began in 2015 with a weekend program at a local theatre in her city. Since then, she has been a part of many great productions, including 'Madhavi', 'Khubsurat Bala', 'Gadal', 'Gunda', 'Seediyan', and 'Katha Ek Kans Ki'. In 2020, Riya started working with The Little Theatre Group Repertory as an artist under the artistic direction of K. S. Rajenjendran.
Her journey towards physical theatre began by attending various workshops on clowning, commedia del arte, mime, and more from instructors worldwide, both online and offline. Since 2022, she has continued to hone her craft by attending physical theatre workshops, movement/dance residencies, and contact improvisations, training under renowned teachers such as Vittoria de Ferrari, Navala Chaudhari, and Kevin Turner, Monica Santos, Mikhail Usov, Alvaro Esteban, Gili Twena. From 2022 to 2024, Riya Bansal has been a part of numerous group performances, devised performances, and collaborations with other talented individuals.
